The Glebe Primary Montessori School add a different dimension to its ECCE scheme

Along with our primary school education from senior infants to 6th class, The Glebe Primary Montessori School offer the government ECCE scheme for preschool children.  Our children come from the Lucan, Leixlip, Maynooth Celbridge and surrounding areas.  The children enrolled on the scheme for the 2012/2013 term will get Drama with George McMahon (aka Mondo from Fair City) Spanish lessons with our spanish teacher Flo and also our outing to the panto at christmas at no additional cost to parents.  Our ECCE scheme operates from 9am to 12pm with the option to enrol your child in workshops from 12pm to 12.30pm  per day for which parents pay a small fee.  

Glebe receives thumbs up from councellors on planning

The Glebe Primary Montessori School has received the unanimous support of the councellors of Kildare County Council for their proposed new building on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge. The councellours voted in favour of the material contravention which allows the zoning of the proposed site to be rezoned for educational purposes.

The proposed new school for the Glebe Primary Montessori School is at an advanced stage.  It is anticipated that Kildare County Council will give the project the green light in the coming weeks.  The new school will be located beside Croudaun on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge. To mark the occasion Dragons Den Dragon and Presidential Candidate Sean Gallagher will perform a tree planting on the site on Thursday 6th October 2011 at 2pm. The Glebe Primary Montessori school is situated on the Grounds of the Barnhall Rugby Club in Celbridge Kildare. The School has been in existence since 1978 and is currently one of the few schools in the Country offering Montessori schooling to children from 3 up to 12 years old. A registered charity (No 12774), the school currently receives no funding from the Dept. of Education & Sciences so we rely solely on fundraising and fees to provide our services.

The school is based in Leixlip Co. Kildare.  Our student teacher ratio does not go above 16:1.  In the Glebe children learn at their own pace and individual work programs are drawn up for each childs education.

The environment is relaxed and teachers/students are all on a first names basis.  We use the latest technologies in delivering our education programs and each classroom is fitted with the latest interactive whiteboard technology, which is used to enhance the montessori method of education.

We are currently enrolling place for the ECCE scheme starting September 2012. 

We are also enrolling for our primary school programe (Junior Infants to 6th class) 2012/13.

We are also not restricted to a catchment area, children from all areas welcome.
